Vinitaly is back! Are you wine lovers?
If so, don’t miss Vinitaly, the most important Italian exhibition in the wine sector that takes place every year in Verona.
From March 22nd to 25th, the city of Romeo and Juliet becomes the centre of Italian wines, but not only: over the last few years you can also tour a pavilion dedicated to international producers.
Vinitaly is a word biggest wine and oenology exhibition. It takes place every year, from Sunday to Wednesday. Vinitaly is an incredible event, with more than 95,000 square meters of exhibition areas, 4,500 exhibitors, mainly from Italy but also from many European and new world wine producing countries, 153,000 visitors from all over the world, 2,500 journalists.
During the four days of Vinitaly, inside the huge exhibition area there will be also many wine related events, tastings sessions, presentations of new products and wineries, wine awards, workshop and meetings with producers and buyers. Vinitaly is a unique chance to deepen your knowledge of Italian wines.
Whether you are a professional sommelier, a wine importer, a restaurant owner or just a wine enthusiast, Vinitaly represents the unique chance to find on display and taste for free thousands of wines from all Italian regions, from the easier everyday wines, up to world top bottles of Amarone, Barolo, Barbaresco, Brunello, Sassicaia.
If you really want to have a thorough experience of Vinitaly, two full days are hardly enough and it is better to carefully plan what you want to see and taste. Take a look at the program on the website www.vinitaly.com and decide in advance what you would like to do.
Hotels in Verona tend to be fully booked during Vinitaly so it is advisable to plan your staying some days ahead.
Are you a big fan of biodynamic wines? We have something for you too! From March 20th to 22nd, you can go to “ViniVeri”, an off-Vinitaly event a few kilometres far from Verona. This ten-year long exhibition will be set up at Cereas’ Expo Area “La Fabbrica”. The producers taking part in this event have a common philosophy – they want to produce wine without using synthetic chemicals, additives and forced stabilization in winery. These wines, therefore, don’t have any foreign substance inside, they are produced using only local grapes and fully represent the land where they come from.
Cheers! Verona is waiting for you!
